Introduction: Business Lessons
Hey everyone, it’s Tanner. This past weekend, I had the pleasure of working with three individuals on their businesses, right from scratch. It was an enlightening experience, and I wanted to share four crucial business lessons that emerged from these sessions.
“It was an enlightening experience, and I wanted to share four crucial business lessons that emerged from these sessions.”
Understanding the Four Ways to Get Leads
The first lesson is about lead generation. There are only four main ways to get leads: affiliates, referrals, paid ads, and organic methods. When starting, most people don’t have referrals or affiliates and can’t afford paid ads. This leaves organic methods, which means reaching out directly to potential clients. I personally sent 200 messages a day and made $50,000 a month from this approach. It’s effort-intensive, but it’s effective.
Business Lessons: The Importance of Volume in Outreach
One of the entrepreneurs I worked with was sending 30 DMs a day and had already made a sale. To increase his revenue, I suggested tripling his output. By scaling up his efforts and understanding the conversion rate, he could significantly increase his sales. Knowing your numbers and scaling your efforts accordingly is crucial.
Business Lessons: A Successful Ad Spend Strategy
Another individual was making $25,000 a month by spending $4,000 on ads. Her strategy involved running a traffic campaign for Instagram followers and then retargeting them, coupled with a VA setter DMing new followers. This warm lead approach proved to be very efficient and effective.
The Value of Being Hands-On in Your Business
Finally, I was reminded of the joy and value of being hands-on in your business. Hosting these sessions and even taking a sales call myself – something I hadn’t done in years – brought me back to the excitement of being in the trenches. Leading by example and staying connected to the core of your business can be incredibly rewarding.
Business Lessons: Conclusion
The key takeaways from this weekend are simple yet profound: understand your lead generation strategies, scale your efforts, know your numbers, and never lose touch with the day-to-day operations of your business. The journey to success involves hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to do what others won’t.
I’m planning to host more of these sessions every two weeks. It’s not just about coaching; it’s about connecting and understanding the challenges entrepreneurs face at every level. I’ve learned so much, and I hope these insights help you as well.
Remember, hard work, dedication, and a strategic approach are your keys to success. Thanks for reading, and I’m excited to share more of these experiences with you in the future. Keep grinding, and see you next time!
