When I first started, like many entrepreneurs, I was following the conventional wisdom and strategies taught by various coaches. I invested around $15,000 in coaching and another $23,000 in ads. The typical focus was on webinars and emails. However, the reality hit hard when I realized the limitations of these methods – email open rates hovered around 15 to 30%, which just wasn’t cutting it.

The Game Changer: Messenger Ads

Out of sheer desperation, I turned to something unconventional at the time – running ads through Messenger using many chats. This was before Facebook and Instagram incorporated native functions for this purpose. The strategy was to funnel ad traffic to Messenger, where they’d watch a quick training and then have the option to book a call.

The real turning point came when I realized that success wasn’t about focusing solely on one aspect like Video Sales Letters (VSLs) or emails. It was about a holistic approach. I developed what I now call “Conversion Conversations,” a system that integrates various elements – Facebook groups, text messages, retargeting ads, voicemails, emails, DMs – into a cohesive strategy. This isn’t just about generating leads; it’s about creating a consistent flow of potential clients into the business.
