The game-changer for me was the transition from selling a $47 fitness program to embracing high-ticket sales. This wasn’t just a pricing strategy; it was a complete overhaul of my approach to value, service, and client interaction. Learning how to effectively communicate this value and close sales over DMs and phone calls propelled my income from modest to substantial, marking my first significant breakthrough.

Embracing Delegation

As the business grew, so did the workload, and the realization hit me: I couldn’t do it all alone. My first hire, my brother Benson, took over client fulfillment, which drastically freed up my time to focus on generating leads and closing deals. This step taught me the importance of delegation and trusting others with parts of your business.

Building a Team: My Business Journey

Following the first hire, the team expansion continued with a messenger to manage the influx of DMs and inquiries and a sales rep, another one of my brothers, Gentry, who took over sales calls. Eventually, a media buyer joined the team, marking a significant pivot point where I was no longer knee-deep in day-to-day operations. This phase underscored the value of building a capable team to scale the business effectively.

The Role of Coaching

If there’s one thing I’d change, it would be to seek guidance earlier in my journey. Between 22 to 25, I struggled to make any significant headway in my business due to my reluctance to invest in coaching. The contrast between those years and the period after I embraced coaching, where I’ve done over $25 million in business, is stark. A coach doesn’t just provide a roadmap; they help navigate the inevitable ups and downs of business growth.
