How to Make $10K in 30 Days With a Coaching Offer

Thirty days is enough to build a system that makes money. I made $10,000 in my first month with no followers, no funnels and no fame.

People who doubt that have either never tried it or were never shown what works. So here is the whole process, start to finish.

Step one: build the offer

Your offer has to tie to health, wealth or relationships. Everything people buy comes back to one of those. A gym is health. My business is wealth. Therapy is relationships. If you cannot tie your offer to one of them, it will not sell.

Then you need a unique selling proposition, a hook that sounds new. In fitness mine was “eat whatever you want without sabotaging results.” In consulting it was “72% more sales calls” tied to a named method. I picked 72 over a round number because it sounds credible. The method was Conversion Conversations, a follow up system I built around 2017 and 2018 when chat and DM ads were new.

Next, three pillars. These are the three main reasons to buy, and each one contrasts with what most people do. My fitness pillars:

  1. Eat whatever you want without sabotaging results. Most people eat bland, restrictive food and cannot sustain it. Diet drives about 90% of physique results. Training is about 10%.
  2. Train however you want. Frequency does not matter much when nutrition is right.
  3. Choose the right help. A personal trainer may never make you independent. A mass market program like Beachbody or P90X gives everyone the same plan. I was a one time investment that teaches lifelong skills.

My business pillars are the offer (package it as premium so it is not a commodity), leads (a faucet system with texts, emails, retargeting and DMs instead of webinars that only email people), and why me (experience, specificity and attention from my team).

Step two: outreach

I finished Division I football with no money, living with my parents. I needed to make money without spending money. Outreach was the answer.

With warm contacts, people who already follow or engage with you:

  • Send about 100 messages a day, around 20 an hour.
  • Expect about a 30% reply rate.
  • Book about 6 sales calls.
  • Close 2 to 3.

Two sales at $1,500 is $3,000 in a day. My first real week of sales brought in about $10,000.

For cold outreach, find prospects in Facebook groups or among the followers of accounts your audience follows. Skip “thanks for following.” Open with something relatable. Mine was a comment about someone’s car.

Step three: deliver simply, then build

In fitness I sent meal plans and workouts in a spreadsheet, texted for check ins and did the occasional Zoom. In business I taught on Zoom and followed up by text.

Early delivery will be rough. Client feedback tells you what to fix. Build the curriculum later by outlining it week by week from your calls or editing recorded calls into lessons. The one exception is tech, where you have to build before you sell.

Step four: tools

  • Scheduling: Calendly with application questions on the booking form. I now use Elite 360.
  • Payments: Wave is my preferred merchant account. It wins about 90% of chargeback disputes. Stripe only for low ticket. Easy Pay is an alternative. Do not rely on Venmo or PayPal.
  • Operations: Google Docs. I ran up to about $300,000 a month on Docs, with one central doc linking to every tool.

Step five: organic or paid

Organic is slow and unpredictable. It needs a 10 year horizon. Paid is simple math: spend $1, get $2 or more back, and you have a winning formula.

Two funnel options: ad to opt in page to VSL to booking page, or ad to DM opt in to VSL to booking. Either way, most people will not act on their own. You need calls, texts, emails and retargeting. DMs are my favorite because I could hold a conversation with every lead.

My VSL has six parts: state the offer in one sentence, expand on the three key results, show social proof, a soft CTA, the mechanism behind your USP, then a hard CTA to book now.

The numbers to hit

  • Click through rate: 1% or higher for B2C, 0.5% or higher for B2B.
  • Lead cost: $15 or less B2C, up to $25 B2B.
  • Cost per call: $150 or less B2C, $300 or less B2B.
  • Cost per sale: about 25% of the offer price or less.

Roughly one in ten calls closes. On a $16,000 offer that is about $4,000 in ad spend per sale. Low CTR, change the ad. High lead cost, change the opt in page. High cost per call, fix follow up. High cost per sale, fix the sales process.

The sales call and objections

My call runs in seven steps. Pre frame the call and say it might not be a fit. Discovery, including “why now, why today?” and what waiting costs them. Summarize and collect small yeses. Restate the three pillars. Give an overview in five minutes or less. Check certainty before price. Then state the price confidently and briefly.

I sold alarm systems door to door for nine months and heard about 30 objections. In coaching there are really four:

  • Price: agree, isolate it, double tie down (“if we solve price, will you move forward?”), ask about cash on hand, then customize.
  • Spouse: ask what the spouse’s biggest objection would be. It is usually price. Use a refundable deposit and set a deadline.
  • Time: indecision is a decision.
  • Belief: ask “what’s the worst that could happen?” and walk through it. My refunds are performance guaranteed, so clients have to do the work to qualify.

Onboarding decides refunds

Clients judge you in the first 24 to 48 hours. Send a short welcome video, a closing page with the first five steps, automated emails and texts, and an onboarding call within 48 hours.

The takeaway

Build a clear offer, talk to 100 people a day, deliver simply, track the numbers and run a real sales process. That is how $10K in 30 days stops being a fantasy.
