How to Sell a $2,500 Offer Using DMs and Boosted Posts

I have spent thousands of hours on sales strategy, and it has produced over $111M in revenue for me. I started from $0.

The system below works whether you have money or not, and whether you have experience or not. It’s the exact path I took: a high ticket offer, DMs, a short call, then paid traffic once the cash comes in.

Step 1: Create a high ticket offer

Build something you can sell for $2,500 or more. Sell four of those a month and you are at $10,000. Selling hundreds of $100 products to hit the same number is much harder.

Pick a niche inside health, wealth or relationships. Everyone wants more of those three things. My first business was online fitness coaching, diet and workout programs, which is health. My consulting business today helps people start and scale businesses, which is wealth.

Some patterns I have seen: men are generally more willing to spend on wealth, and older men tend to spend more on health. Relationship offers can go after single or married people.

Step 2: Start outreach with the people who already engage

You don’t need a big following. Start with whoever already likes and comments on your posts. Message every one of them.

Keep the opener simple: thank them for the follow, then ask about their goal tied to your offer. “What’s your fitness goal?”

Set your profile up first. My bio has three parts:

  1. Credibility. My sales numbers and years in business.
  2. What I do. Help people build online businesses.
  3. A call to action. An invite to DM me plus a link.

Treat social media as a business tool, not a diary.

The warm follower math

  • Message about 100 warm followers and expect roughly a 30% response.
  • Book 2 to 5 calls and close 1 or 2.
  • You can send about 20 messages an hour without getting blocked, so 100 takes about 5 hours.
  • Five sales calls take about 5 more hours.

That’s about 10 hours for a $2,500 sale, or roughly $250 an hour. Use that cash to fund paid traffic later.

Cold outreach when you have no following

DMs take less time than calls or cold email, and anyone with a phone can do them.

Search hashtags in your niche. For fitness, I would browse a fitness hashtag and look for people who clearly need help. Facebook groups work too, though they are harder now because so many people do outreach there. Skip trainers and coaches. They won’t buy.

My cold DM structure

  1. Compliment something specific in their content.
  2. Ask what they do for work and show real interest.
  3. Connect work to your offer. Does your job make it hard to work out? Show empathy. Life gets busy.
  4. Ask about their goal.
  5. Dig into the struggle. What have you tried? Ever had a coach?
  6. Soft pitch. Offer some advice, but only if they want it. Ask permission.
  7. Move to a call. Suggest a quick 10 minute chat and ask for their number.

Open with “you look like you could lose weight” and you’re done. Start friendly and move toward the pitch slowly.

Step 3: The 15 minute set call

Get on a short call. Chat briefly, then ask about their goal, their struggles, what they’ve tried and whether they’ve had a coach. For some offers, especially B2B, you can skip this. For consumer offers I would keep it.

Then send a questionnaire. Frame it as an application that helps tailor the program. In reality it qualifies them for the sale. Mine asked for:

  • Age, weight, body fat and other basics
  • Foods they like and dislike
  • Whether they’re willing to do this, explaining that it’s teaching based and a one time investment
  • A 1 to 10 rating of how serious they are

A prospect named Richard answered that he would invest as long as the program made sense. I closed him on the follow up call for $2,500. That was one of my best moments, because that cash let me start running ads.

Step 4: Close the sale

Closing is its own skill and I cover it in other videos. The point here is that by the time you’re on that call, the DMs and the questionnaire have already done most of the qualifying.

Reinvest with boosted posts

Once you have cash, stop relying only on manual outreach. Start boosting posts.

  • Use “Boost Reel” from a computer, not your phone. Apple takes a 30% fee on iPhone in app purchases.
  • Build a custom audience, for example men 35 and up in the United States, with interests your buyer has, like fitness.
  • Aim for $0.10 to $0.20 per profile view and $1 to $2 per new follower.
  • Track new followers in your notifications tab, then DM them.

Spend $500, close one $2,500 sale, and you made $2,000. Repeat. People using this have scaled to $100,000 a month, usually by hiring people to send messages, coach or take calls.

Move to traditional paid ads

At some point the DM volume triggers spam blocks on Instagram and Facebook. That’s when you move into Meta Ads Manager and a proper funnel:

  1. Ad sends traffic to a landing page.
  2. The visitor says what they want, like “I want to lose weight.”
  3. They enter their information on the next page.
  4. A video sales letter explains the offer.
  5. They book a call.
  6. A thank you page prepares them for the sales call.

At hundreds of thousands a month, you need software to run it. We built Elite 360 for that.

The takeaway

Create a $2,500+ offer in health, wealth or relationships. DM your warm followers, then cold prospects. Qualify with a short call and a questionnaire. Close. Then put the profit into boosted posts and, later, a real funnel.

You don’t need money or an audience to start. You need an offer worth buying and the discipline to send the messages.
